Westford Town Clerk Patty Dubey has announced that absentee ballots for the June 30 town-wide election have arrived at her office and she’s receiving many requests.

“Please consider this a ‘heads up’ for your campaigns,” Dubey said to the candidates running for local office.  “Once the administrative part has been completed, we will start sending ballots out midweek to those who requested them.”

This year’s local election has been pushed back to June 30 due to concerns over the Covid-19 virus. Gov. Charlie Baker’s social distancing requirement makes the traditional process of voting with booths side by side a difficult directive to follow.
