Twinkie is a 6-year-old cat that WestfordCAT has featured before, but now that most of the Lowell Humane Society’s adoptable pets are in foster care, the shelter is eager to find this little cat his forever home.

WestfordCAT takes you inside the foster care home of Twinkie, who is described as a shy, but snuggly cat that likes to play.

“I am hoping Twinkie’s forever family gives him the time that he needs to get comfortable because he is very shy and fearful,” said Laurie Cantwell, Twinkie’s foster caregiver since the shelter went on COVID-19 shutdown in March. “I think if that can happen, his true personality can come through….he is very warm. He’ll come right up on the bed and lay on my chest. He will lick my face and he will purr and snuggle.”

Twinkie was surrendered to the shelter in December of last year.

Interested adopters can contact the Lowell Humane Society at 978-452-7781 to set up an appointment to meet Twinkie or visit their website at lowellhumanesociety.org for more information.
