WestfordCAT asked intern Carolyn Crimmins, an Endicott College sophomore, to find half a dozen members of the Class of 2020 to interview. We asked how they’re coping with COVID-19 regulations that delayed their graduation ceremony from June 5 to Aug. 7, forced them to cancel their prom, ended spring sports, and required them to stay home instead of participating in the traditional class trip to Disney World.

I’d really like to minor in theatre management just in case.

What’s your Plan B?

The program that I’m going into is really nice because it allows me to have enough time in my schedule to get a minor or to even double major if I really wanted to, and so, by doing that obviously I’d really like to minor in theatre management just in case.”

How about the academic side of things… Where are you going to college?

I’m going to Pace University; I’m actually wearing the sweatshirt.

What’s your major and minor going to be?

So I will be majoring in acting. I’ll get a BA [Bachelor of Arts] in acting which is great.  And hopefully if I can fit into my schedule I’d want a minor in theater management.

Why did you want to go to this college?

This college specifically? Obviously it’s located in New York City.  New York City being like the hub for theater in the world, in a sense has perfect opportunities for me. There’s a lot of things I can get involved in or participate in, which is great. The program that I’m going into is really nice because it allows me to have enough time in my schedule to get a minor or to even double major if I really wanted to, and so, by doing that obviously I’d really like to minor in theatre management just in case. I could be acting in a show for a couple months but then I’d like a 9 to 5 at a producing firm or something. “

Were you able to physically see the college?

Well I’d visited before the whole pandemic outbreak so I guess answer your question like during the pandemic no obvious I wasn’t able to go and physically see it,but there’s videos there’s like virtual videos and things so I was able to see it “

Then who are you going to miss most from your hometown teacher or student?

A good question. I mean obviously I’m going to miss my friend and my friends are younger than me or at least they’re still in high school and so I am not going to see them again like everyday. Then teacher wise I think I’m going to…I’m really going to miss my theatre teacher. I mean obviously I spend all of my time in that program so it’s it’ll be weird not seeing his face “

Then what extracurriculars are you going to do in college?

Well for my major obviously in acting there is going to be a lot of different shows and like student projects that I’ll try to get involved in obviously perform as much as I can just get out there try; to network. Then I would love to play Frisbee and Ultimate Frisbee whether that’s unlike an intramural League or whether that’s playing for the school because obviously I really like frisbee. Frisbee is one of my favorite sports and I like it and I like to think I’m pretty good, so I think I will give it a shot.”
