Excelling at Essay Writing for High School This 3 week session is designed to help high school students write more effective dramatic essays that will develop their writing abilities in both classroom and on standardized tests and common applications for college. Willingness to learn and a laptop or note book are the only supplies you will need for this class. $63/$60 Aug. 14 to Aug. 28 (3 Thursdays) 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Shoot It Straight Basketball Bootcamp Grades 5 to 8 In this summer clinic, aspiring athletes will learn the proper way to shoot, pass, dribble, and defend the ball. This clinic will teach students the mechanics and how to apply them to basketball. Kids will also work on team building skills and good sportsmanship. Learn to shoot straight, pass, and play a winning defense. $253/$250 July 7 to July 11 Monday thru Friday 9 to 11 a.m.

Book Club for Kids Grade 3-5 Enjoy reading “The Lemonade War” books by author Jacqueline Davies. Sharpen your reading skills, participate in discussions about your book, do craft projects, and enjoy a culminating book celebration. Material fee of $10.00 is payable to the instructor at the first class. $153/$150 July 7 to July11 (Monday thru Friday) 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Pencil Pushers Summer Writing Workshops Grades 3 to 5 In this week long workshop, we will put all your amazing stories down on paper. We’ll learn a variety of writing skills and techniques so you can write your own adventures. At the end of the week, you will have your own illustrated book to celebrate. Material fee of $10 is payable to the instructor at the first class. $153/$150 July 7 thru July 11 Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Combined Pencil Pushers & Book Club In this week-long combined workshop, Pencil Pushers will write in the morning and in the afternoon, the Book Club will have lively discussions. We will break at noon. Lunch will be under the supervision of the instructor. $278/$275 July 7 to 11 (Monday thru Friday) 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Kitchen Kamp Ages 4 to 8. This great class combines cooking, eating and fun. In this drop off class, we’ll measure, mix, and pour, as we make different recipes each day. We’ll taste, test, and talk about foods that are good for you, and yummy to eat. A $7 materials fee is payable to instructor on first day of camp. $115/$112

July 15, 16, 17 (Tuesday thru Thursday) 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Berry Delicious Party Ages 4 to 8. Summer is all about raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and more. Join the Kitchen Kids while we make and eat recipes that are all about berries and the great taste of summer. This is a drop off class for kids who want to learn a bit about cooking and experiments in the kitchen. $5 materials fee is payable to instructors on first day of class, $28/$25 Thursday, July 17 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Bubbles, Rosé Wines And Chocolate Learn the differences between Cremants, Proseccos, Cava, sparkling wine, and delicate rose wines. We will taste 5 unique wines from around the world paired with different types of chocolates and artisan cheeses. $43 to $40 Thursday, July 24 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Summer Floor Hockey for ages 6 to 10 come join the fun this summer as we spend an hour running, playing non-competitive floor hockey and learning its informal rules. We will introduce basic skills and team play will be emphasized. We will provide sticks. Participants must bring their own water bottle, safety goggles and wear sneakers. If you have any of your own equipment, you may bring it. $53/$50 July 28 to Aug. 1 (Monday to Friday) 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Teddy Bear Party Ages 3 to 7. All over town, teddy bears are shining their teapots and baking honey cakes in preparation. There’s going to be a tea party, and teddy bears will be the guests of honor. Arrive at the party in your finest attire accompanied by your favorite bear. Each guest will dress up Teddy before the tea begins. Choose from Teddy suits, tuxedos, dresses and hats. Additional finery will be provided for guests during the party. $28/$25 Friday, Aug. 8 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
