The Hunting Policy Committee agreed on Monday to propose a “permit lottery” for Westford residents seeking to hunt on Selectmen owned properties (non-grey pink areas on attached map)

Their move follows a decision last month to propose the prohibition of shotgun hunting on Selectmen owned land.

A motion to allow non-Westford residents to obtain permits not distributed in the lottery failed.

They meet again on Thursday, July 24 at Town Hall and are expected to discuss how many permits will be included in the proposed lottery.
