Tornado Warning, Power Outages On Tuesday Evening

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for North Central Middlesex County and Southern Hillsborough County in New Hampshire at 4:04 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15.

The alert will continue until 5 p.m. and was issued after a large thunderstorm was located over Tyngsborough.

Area residents are advised to take cover, go to a basement or interior room if possible and stay away from windows.

UPDATE: 6:45 p.m. – National Grid is reporting approximately 1,500 customers are without power along Dunstable Road. The road is currently closed due to downed wires.

 

There are some other isolated power outages across town that are expected to be fixed by approximately 7 p.m.

UPDATE 6:53 p.m. – The Westford Police Department is reporting that Long Sought for Pond Road, near Dunstable Road, is now once again open.

UPDATE 8:04 p.m. – Most customers along Dunstable Road now have power again, according to National Grid. Remaining customers are expected to regain their power at approximately 9 p.m.
