The Westford Board of Health has announced that 5,986 pounds of deli ham sold at Wegman’s supermarkets, including nearby Wegman’s locations in Massachusetts has been recalled.
“Wegman’s Food You Feel Good About Organic Ham” from E.G. Emils & Sons Inc. of Philadelphia, PA was allegedly contaminated with extraneous materials according to the report.
The issue was discovered by a Wegman’s employee who sliced the ham and found a piece of plastic inside of the meat.
