The following are highlights from the Westford Fire Department Log from the week of Aug. 17 to 23.
Aug. 18, 9:28 a.m. – There was a report of a motor vehicle on fire just south of the I-495 Northbound rest area.
The fire, which was in the vehicle’s engine compartment, was quickly extinguished.
Aug. 19, 9:12 a.m. – Paramedics responded to an emergency at the British Beer Company. An unspecified number of patients were transported to Lowell General Hospital. Additional information was not available.
Aug. 20, 11:22 a.m. – A gaseous odor was reported outside of the Westford Childrens’ Learning Center on Groton Road.
However, after an investigation, the odor could not be found.
Aug. 23, 12:36 p.m. – Paramedics responded to the Westford Sportsmens’ Club for reports of a medical emergency, followed later in the day from calls at the 4H Fairgrounds and the Nashoba Valley Ski Area, where the Blues’n’Brews Festival was occurring.
Additional information on the Sportsmens’ call was not provided. An onsite paramedic team treated the 4H call onsite and the person at the Blues’n’Brews refused treatment.
