Nashoba Tech Students Mark Completion Of First Aid Recertification

From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things for Oct. 3, 2014

#1. Upperclassmen in the Health Assisting program… at Nashoba Valley Technical High School recently marked the completion of their first-aid recertification, as well as the emergency component of the 16-hour pre-care certification, by touring the Shriners Burns Institute in Boston.
While at the institute, the students, as well as instructor Vicki Ann Poulin and chaperone Sue Wilcox, also received an educational seminar on treating burn injuries.

Seniors who participated (pictured) include Marc Clayton (Chelmsford), Brianna Coburn (Leominster), Ariel Corliss (Chelmsford), Brianna Ellis (Chelmsford), Skye Nogler (Pepperell), Lauren Quinn (Townsend) and Wilbannelys Ramos (Lowell).

Juniors who participated include Brett Bamford (Westford), Rachael Fitton (Chelmsford), Jordan Forrest (Chelmsford), Samantha Piecewicz (Ayer), Amanda Rogers (Chelmsford), Stephanie Santiago (Chelmsford), Ryian Vandal (Shirley) and Isabella Venti (Shirley).

#3. Two Lost Pets Announced By The Town…. The first is a small female Tiger cat, mostly grey, named Layla. She was last seen on Quarry Hill Road on Sept. 25.

There’s also a gray longhair tabby last seen on South Chelmsford Road on Sept. 21

#4. The Town’s also reporting that MassDOT has announced… that they will be paving on Littleton Road, Boston Road and Carlisle Road on Sunday night, and again on Monday night, October 5th & 6th.  The Town of Westford Highway Department will also be paving portions of Carlisle Road on Friday morning, October 3rd.
