Business leaders from across Westford gathered at the Westford Regency last week to celebrate the new Westford Business Association.

Led by local business and non-profit leaders, the business aims to help local businesses network with each other as well as reach out to beyond Westford’s borders and build a greater awareness of what Westford businesses have to offer.

Town Manager Jodi Ross told the assembled business owners and community leaders that the new organization symbolized Westford’s economic vitality.

“It’s easier to ask what don’t we have in town now, you can just feel the energy,” said Ross. “And that’s why I’m so excited about this group because I think we’re here for many reasons, but one is because we’re growing.”

In addition to information about the group, the assembled business leaders also provided ideas on how to improve the organization moving forward.

“If you have ideas, if you have energy you would like to contribute to this effort, please don’t start being shy now,” said WBA chairman Dan Bush.

Charter memberships are available for Westford businesses, and business owners who are Westford residents until Nov. 13
