Committee Being Formed For Town Center Traffic and Parking

From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things for Dec. 17 and beyond in Westford.

#1. The Board of Selectmen….. is seeking 4 candidates for full positions and 2 candidates for alternate positions on an upcoming Town Center Parking and Traffic Study Committee.

The committee will also have one member coming from the Board of Selectmen, Pedestrian Safety Committee, Planning Board, Historical Commission, and Town Common Restoration Committee.

#2. The Parenting Middle Schoolers Group…. will meet today (Dec. 17) at 2:30 p.m. inside the Stony Brook School to help parents looking to overcome challenges they face and successes they’ve found raising middle schoolers.

#3. The Westford Recreation Department Have Two New Programs For Kids…. Engineering For Kids and a yoga program coming to the Abbot and Nabnasset Schools. More information is available at www.westfordrec.com

Forms must be received by Dec. 29 at noon to avoid $25 late fees.

#4. There’s a Holiday Concert With Jeannie Mack… is happening today (Dec. 17) at 11 a.m. at the J.V. Fletcher Library. The concert’s free and it’s taking place in the downstairs meeting room.

#5. An Evening With Ed Gerety… this nationally recognized expert in cyberbullying will be at Stony Brook Middle School on Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. (Snow Date Jan. 15)
