Recent gubernatorial candidate Scott Lively earned 63 votes from Westford in November’s election, this month he’s being accused of crimes against humanity.
MassLive.com is reporting that the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals threw out a request last week from Lively to drop a lawsuit charging he violated U.S. law by trying to influence the laws of a foreign nation.
Specifically, the suit alleges that Lively lobbied for legislation in Uganda that would outlaw homosexuality in the country.
The suit will now proceed in the U.S. District Court in Springfield.
Statewide, Lively received 19,378 votes.
