#1. Chris Herren Is Returning to Westford Academy… once a member of the Boston Celtics, Herren will share his views on recovering from drug addiction on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. at Stony Brook Middle School.

The talk is sponsored by the Westford Parent Connection, Westford Against Substance Abuse and the Westford Health Department.

Five Things Sign#2. The Westford Health Department…. is searching for parents to host a program where they can communicate about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs to their children and prevent underage drug use.

#3. Roudenbush Map Update… in case you missed it, the new Roudenbush maps are now available for sale. You can get them at Tedeschi’s on Main Street.

#4. Westford’s own Kadant recently declared….that a quarterly dividend of 15 cents per share will be given on Feb. 13, 2015 to all stockholders of record at the close of business on Jan. 16, 2015.

Located on Technology Park Drive, the company is a global supplier of components for the pulp and paper industry.

Kadant’s stock (NYSE Symbol: KAI) has remained fairly level around $41 per share since the news was announced.

#5. The Town Is Looking For… an office manager for the town’s parks and cemeteries. Pay is variable depending on experience, but applicants must have at least an associate’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
