Emerson Hospital Offers Healthy Cleanse for Those Who Want to Lose Weight in the New Year

Starts January 22 in Concord

For those looking to lose weight, feel energetic, and improve Emerson Hospitalclarity of mind in the New Year, Emerson Hospital is offering a Rejuvenation Cleanse class beginning January 22. The three-week class, led by certified holistic coach and nutritionist Lisa Mair, and registered dietitian Charlotte Ott, is designed to help participants change their way of eating, eliminate chronic conditions, feel energetic, improve clarity of mind, lose weight and sleep better.

Participants will be taught healthy eating habits and behavior modification in a supportive group setting. The three-week program meets at Emerson Hospital’s Integrative Health & Wellness Center, located at 300-310 Baker Ave. in Concord, on Thursdays, 6:00-7:00 pm beginning January 22. The program includes three on-site group meetings, a comprehensive eBook, daily emails, conference calls, email support and optional live events.

Emerson Hospital Offers Infant Massage Class New Class Starts January 13

For centuries, new parents have used massage techniques on their infants for relaxation, bonding, and overall health. Infant massage has many health benefits including helping babies with digestion, blood flow, development of their nervous systems, and relief from colic and gas which can be uncomfortable for some babies.

Emerson Hospital’s Healthy Living Program is offering an infant massage class in Westford beginning January 13. Mary Evans, DPT, a certified early intervention specialist with over 20 years of experience working with babies and their parents in both home and outpatient settings, is the instructor.

The class will meet at the Emerson Hospital Health Center in Westford, located at 133 Littleton Road. It is appropriate for full term infants, those born prematurely and those with a history of medical complications. Caregivers will learn techniques that can be used at home and in other places. The four-week class meets on Tuesdays from 10:00-11:00 am beginning January 13. Upcoming sessions will start on March 3 and May 5.
