Westford’s town government is looking for volunteers on two upcoming committees that will address the town’s center and a renewed scholarship fund.

Town HallThe Board of Selectmen is seeking four residents for positions on the Town Center Parking and Traffic Study Committee.

Those citizens will be joined by Selectman Andrea Peraner-Sweet, as well as representatives from the Pedestrian Safety Committee, Planning Board, Historical Commission and Town Common Restoration Committee.

There will also be two alternates to the committee, which will study issues revolving around traffic and parking near the Town Common area.

Residents are also being urged to apply for a reestablished Arts and Technology Scholarship Committee.

The committee will determine scholarship recipients and amounts for the Westford Scholarship Fund and the Westford Arts and Technology Fund, both of which were first established in 1997.

In addition to the Town Manager and School Department Superintendent or their designees, the Selectmen are also looking for three residents with children in schools, three residents at large and one resident involved in local business.

Anyone interested in applying for either committee can complete a Citizen’s Activity Application Form at http://data.westfordma.gov/bc . Anyone with questions can call Matt Hanson at the Town Manager’s office at 978-692-5501 ext. 1
