Westford Board of Health Shares A Pair of Recall Announcements

Recently, the Westford Board of Health has shared a pair of recall announcements regarding products sold in stores near Westford.

Gilster – Mary Lee Corp. issued an allergen alert recalling one lot of Market Pantry Honey & Oat Mixers Ready to Eat cereal due to undeclared almonds.

The cereal was exclusively sold at Target, which has locations in Lowell just off the Lowell Connector, in South Nashua inside the Pheasant Lane Mall and several other locations near Westford.

For questions, consumers can call Gilster-Mary Lee Corp. at 618-826-2361 ext. 3283 or 3035, 573-547-1083 ext. 4135 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm CST Monday – Friday.

 

Untitled-1The other announcement came from Franklin Farms, which issued an allergy alert for its Chili-Bean Veggiburgers due to undeclared peanut allergens potentially inside the product.

This recall extends to products sold in Massachusetts along with seven other states. To date, testing has shown no detectable levels of peanuts in the products, Franklin Farms issued this voluntary recall as a precaution.
