Conservation/Resource Planner
The person applying for this position is responsible for 21 varying responsibilities relating a variety of environmental regulations, frequently working with other departments.
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or an equivalent and three years of experience with a Conservation Commission in a municipality within Massachusetts.
An understanding of wetlands laws and regulations, writing and speaking skills, the ability to use GIS and other computer applications and comfort with permitting processes is needed.
The starting salary ranges from $68,439 to $81,353.
Licensed Well Specialist
This position falls under the direction of the Water Department Superintendent, Water Treatment Manager and Water Department Foreman and is responsible for routine assignments as necessary to maintain drinking water systems.
The job has 18 principal responsibilities and applicants must be able to operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, front-end loaders and dump trucks and must be familiar with water hydraulics, electrical systems, plumbing, construction and other processes.
It also requires two years of experience in the drinking water supply industry.
Applicants must have a high school diploma, a driver’s license, a Massachusetts Grade 1 Distribution and Treatment License, and potentially several other licenses to operate equipment.
Salaries range from $20.97 to $27.37 per hour.
Head Coach/Program Director – Crew Team
The Westford/Littleton Crew program requires a coach that will oversee student-athletes, assistant coaches and other aspects of a rowing program.
Applications must have four years of experience in rowing coaching, an understanding of U.S. Rowing Scholastic Rowing Association rules, a valid driver’s license and an ability to work nights and weekends.
The job pays $25 to 34.50 per hour.
