Blue Flames Defeat Pink Hot Chili Peppers

Game Reports for Week Starting: February 9, 2015

 

Black Squad 27 vs. Hot Pink Chili Peppers 18

 

Kyla Rochon and Shannon Harris led a balanced Black Squad to a convincing win over the Hot Pink Chili Peppers. Juliette Noone and Sam Kingston played solid defense.  Hannah Kuhlberg and Carol Neuhart ruled the boards while Ally Rohlfs and Lauren Flynn contributed on both ends.  Amy Cavanaugh and Yamini Kumar led the scoring for the Hot Pink Chili Peppers, with Amy Doucette and Kayleigh McHugh also contributing points.  Kene Orakwue and Julia Gabriel provided the defensive backbone for the Peppers.

Tissues 31 vs. Hippies 19

 

Led by Olivia Antonelli, the Tissues used a balance attack (five players providing scoring) to pull out a tough win over the Hippies.  Following Olivia Antonelli’s 13 points,  Olivia Morin, Danielle Roder, Elizabeth Deloia and Hannah Roder all contributed on offense, with Megan Bramanti, Caroline Bates, Joyce Downey and Danielle Mendoca all pitching in with strong defense.  For the Hippies, Katie Long, Sam Wylie, Amanda Charlton and Caroline Hurley all scored.

 

Blue Flames 32 vs. Hot Pink Chili Peppers 22

 

The cold and snow could not cool off the Blue Flames, who took a fast paced game over the Hot Pink Chili Peppers.  McKenna Watson led the Blue Flames with 15 points, supported by Kristy Westerhoff who hit two big shots, as did Nikhita Bhasker.  Cassie Bernardo led the Hot Pink Chili Peppers with eight points, backed up by Yamani Kumar, Amy Cavanaugh, Amy Doucette and Julia Gabriel.
