‘Women as Caregivers’ financial lecture at Bridges by EPOCH at Westford (April 7)
WESTFORD—Mike Davis, a financial services professional at New York Life, is visiting Bridges by EPOCH at Westford on Tuesday, April 7 to lead the discussion, “Women as Caregivers: Make the Most of Tomorrow by Making Smart Choices Today.” Appetizers will be served at 5 p.m., while the presentation starts at 5:30 p.m. The lecture is targeted toward female caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease who have put their loved ones needs over their own. Davis will discuss how to make your financial needs a priority and provide information on advance directives, healthcare proxies and long-term care insurance.

WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host the lunch and learn, “Proactive Brain Health,” on Tuesday, April 14 at noon. Learn tips and healthy habits on maintaining a healthy brain and potentially reducing the risk of cognitive decline in older adults at risk for cognitive impairment.

Caregiver Support Group at Bridges by EPOCH at Westford (April 27)
WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host a support group for dementia caregivers on Monday, April 27 at 4:30 p.m. A memory impairment specialist will lead the discussion on the challenges of caring for someone with memory impairment. The group will enjoy a meal while sharing ideas and challenges to help and encourage each other. We also welcome you to bring the person you care for to enjoy dinner with our residents while the support group meets.

Lunch and Learn, ‘Sounds of Their Life: Music Therapy,’ at Bridges by EPOCH at Westford (April 28)
WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host the lunch and learn, “Sounds of Their Life: Music Therapy” on Tuesday, April 28 at noon. Studies have shown music therapy can be incredibly soothing for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. During this presentation, you will learn how music therapy can positively influence your loved one’s moods, manage their stress and agitation and help with cognitive function.
