Westford Academy Theater Arts was named co-state champion of the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild’s 2015 High School Festival last week in Boston.
Their presentation of The Normal Heart, a 1980s play about the rise of HIV in New York City, earned the honors along with Danvers High School’s performance of Tribes, and Peabody Veterans Memorial High School’s performance of Eurydice.
All three schools now advance to the 2015 New England Theatre Festival in Rockport, ME from April 23 to 25.
Westford Academy Theater Arts was also victorious in 2013 with a presentation of Sonia Flew and 2014 with My Name is Asher Lev.
