Town Wide Clean Up Day Saturday, April 25.  Teams of Volunteers will disburse across Westford to clean the roadways. Volunteers will meet at Roudenbush Community Center at 65 Main Street at 8:30am. The teams will be assigned a location with a team captain. Volunteer Groups will be sent out to their locations starting at9:00am and must have their own transportation to the clean up location assigned.  Roudenbush will provide gloves, trash bags, and a bright color t-shirt for the volunteers. Team Captains will be provided traffic vests and some basic equipment. It is recommended that volunteers bring rakes and shovels if possible. Full trash bags and other items will be picked up by Roudenbush trucks from along the roadways. Volunteer Groups are invited back to the Community Center for lunch and the weighing of the trash!  Saturday, Apr. 25, 8:30 to 1:00 p.m.

Roudenbush Celebrates 40 Years with Person of the Year Event.This year’s recipient is Ellen Harde.  Come honor Ellen at this wonderful catered event beginning at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction, dinner at 7:00 followed by the presentation of the honoree at 7:30.  Purchase tickets online at www.roudenbush.org $50 per person or table of 8 for $375.  Thursday, Apr. 30, Franco American Club, 55 West Prescott Street.

Gymnastics Session D still has spaces available in most age groups; Tumbling Toddlers, Kinder Gym, Cartwheels and Crafts, Beginner/Advanced Beginner Gymnastics, and Roudy Stars.  Come join the fun, all are progressive programs with emphasis on building good basic skills.  Boys and girls will build strength, flexibility and coordination.

Guitar Jam Workshop:  Beginner and Intermediate.  Expand your musical repertoire and meet others.  Participants will be guided through a minimum of 10 songs incorporating popular songs from the 60s to current day.  Required is a tuned guitar and working knowledge of common major/minor chords.  $33/$30, Tuesday, April 21, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Beginner Dog Obedience Level 1.  Start your dog on the path to better manners, stronger attention and a deeper relationship with you.  Using positive reinforcement we introduce basic cues such as sit, down, hand targeting, stay, come and loose leash walking.  For dogs of all ages.  $138/$135, 6 Fridays, May 1 to June 12, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Beginner Dog Obedience Level 2.  Take the skills learned in the introductory class to the next level and add additional skills that are geared toward the ACK Canine Good Citizen test, such as sit for greetings and petting, stand for care handling, and dog to dog greetings.  $138/$135, 6 Fridays May 1 to June 12, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Dog Walking and Pet Sitting (ages 12 and up).  Learn how to provide good care for other people’s pets while keeping them and yourself safe.  Class covers practical information like record keeping, preparing for walks outside, observing for signs of trouble, what to do in cases of emergency.  $28/$25.  Monday, May 18, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Just Tamera and Me (Ages 2.8 to 5 years without parent) – Singing, making crafts, reading books, and having fun.  Give your child a chance to be independent in a secure and loving environment before starting preschool or kindergarten.  Choose 2 or 3 hour options for this drop off class.  May 6 to May 27, 4 Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. to noon $83/$80.

Explosive Strength and Speed Clinic (Ages 13 and up).  During the school year many athletes do not exercise regularly.  A week of strength and speed training is all they need to regain some of the explosiveness for their sports.  This clinic will help athletes regain and reform back to basics of power movement.  Focus is on core and strengthening, step quickness, read and react, plyometric, power strength exercise and agility drills.  Apr. 20 to 24, Monday thruFriday, 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
