Lunch and Learn, ‘Educating Friends and Family about Your Alzheimer’s,’ at Bridges by EPOCH at Westford (June 9
WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host the lunch and learn, “Educating Friends and Family about Your Alzheimer’s,” on Tuesday, June 9 at noon. Telling your friends and family about your Alzheimer’s diagnosis is a very important—and personal—thing. Join us as we discuss the Who, When, Why and How’s of sharing this information with your friends and family, as well as discuss the common responses to news of this type of diagnosis.

Caregiver Support Group at Bridges by EPOCH at Westford (June 22)
WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host a support group for dementia caregivers on Monday, June 22 at 4:30 p.m. A memory impairment specialist will lead the discussion on the challenges of caring for someone with memory impairment. The group will enjoy a meal while sharing ideas and challenges to help and encourage each other. We also welcome you to bring the person you care for to enjoy dinner with our residents while the support group meets.

WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host the lunch and learn, “The Challenges of Changing Environments” on Tuesday, June 30 at noon. For those with Alzheimer’s or dementia, a change in environments can lead to high levels of anxiety and agitation. Join us for a special presentation where we will discuss helpful tips on how to best handle these situations such as the doctor’s office visits, travel, eating out and more.
All are welcome to attend this free event, but space is limited. Call 978-692-9541 to RSVP or for more information. Guests are encouraged to bring their loved one to enjoy a meal with residents during the presentation.
