Lunch and Learn, ‘Understanding Dementia: a 360° Look,’ at Bridges by EPOCH at Westford (May 12
WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host the lunch and learn, “Understanding Dementia: a 360° Look,” on Tuesday, May 12 at noon. Dementia is a complex disease with many different forms, from Alzheimer’s disease to vascular dementia, and the first step in understanding dementia is to know the signs and symptoms. In this Lunch and Learn, take a well-rounded look at what dementia is and how you can help your loved one navigate the disease.

Caregiver Support Group at Bridges by EPOCH at Westford (May 18)
WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host a support group for dementia caregivers on Monday, May 18 at 4:30 p.m. A memory impairment specialist will lead the discussion on the challenges of caring for someone with memory impairment. The group will enjoy a meal while sharing ideas and challenges to help and encourage each other. We also welcome you to bring the person you care for to enjoy dinner with our residents while the support group meets.

Lunch and Learn, ‘Summer Safety for Those with Dementia,’ at Bridges by EPOCH at Westford (May 26)
WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host the lunch and learn, “Summer Safety for Those with Dementia” on Tuesday, May 26 at noon. Summer has safety hazards for loved ones living with dementia, from the risks of too much sun to getting lost while out on a walk. In this Lunch and Learn, learn tips on how to help your loved one stay safe in the summer, while still enjoying the beauty of the season.
All are welcome to attend this free event, but space is limited. Call 978-692-9541 to RSVP or for more information. Guests are encouraged to bring their loved one to enjoy a meal with residents during the presentation.
