Firefighters Respond To Christmas Day Smoke On Lawson Road

The following information came from the Westford Fire Department.

Dec. 19, 4:02 p.m. – The odor of a gas was reported at the Paper Store. The person who called reporting the gas had left the area, the Paper Store had not been evacuated and no odor was found by firefighters on the scene.

Dec. 20, 6:02 a.m. – A smoke detector activated on Butterfield Lane. The detector was making noises and then turning off before turning on again. Firefighters told the homeowner to replace the detector as it was over 10 years old.

Dec. 25, 2:35 p.m. – Smoke was spotted on Lawson Road, after investigation it was discovered that the smoke was coming from a barbeque. No further action was needed.

Dec. 26, 12:03 p.m. – Six firefighters were dispatched to April Lane for reports of gas outside of a building. No odors or readings of gas were found inside the structure, and there were no issues following other investigation inside and near the building.
