Man Allegedly Points Gun At Slow Driver On Littleton Road

Hans-Peter Schlueter, 47, of 44 Pleasant St. in Ayer was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly pointed a gun at car passenger near the corner of Tadmuck and Littleton roads.

According to a press release from the Westford Police Department, an unnamed 25-year-old was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle, helping teach his 16-year-old brother how to drive when Schlueter believed the pair were driving too slow.

Witness accounts indicate that Schlueter pointed a loaded handgun at the 25-year-old. Schlueter did had an active license to carry a weapon, which was suspended due to the incident.

Police responded at approximately 3:26 p.m.

He was charge with alleged assault with a dangerous weapon and is held on $1,540 bail pending arraignment at Ayer District Court.
