The Westford Police Department has announced road closures for the annual 5k and 10k Westford Road Race on Sunday, May 1.
Parts or all of Main Street, Depot Street, Hildreth Street, Lincoln Street, Forge Village Road, Graniteville Road, Concord Road and potentially other unspecified secondary roads near the town center are expected to be closed from 1:45 to 4:15 p.m.
Both races go from the Abbot School to the J.V. Fletcher Library through separate routes through the town center.
Police, fire and emergency medical services will not be impacted, but residents and commuters are encouraged to seek alternate routes during that time.
Detours will be placed throughought the area, those participating in the event are requested to park at the Abbot School.
