The Westford Cheetahs made the most of their chances in a competitive away game in Wilmington. Success starts in the back and that was on display for the first goal. Ava Janko and Keilana daRosa combined on the assist off of a goal kick as Kaylee Moore received an accurate, long pass to slot home the goal. The second goal was scored by Ashley Hander breaking across the eighteen off a nice square pass from Sophia Sacco.

The Cheetahs displayed good movement and spatial awareness on the field, calling for passes and backing each other up on defense, when needed. Strong play by Hazel Belge and Courtney Witsch on defense, Bailey Dyer and Erin Mammola in the mid-field, and Ariana Thomas on offense rounded out a solid effort. Our goalies, Keira Grenier and Ava Janko, held down the fort and commanded the defense nicely on set pieces.

A well-coached Wilmington side put up a good effort with several near-misses and offensive pressure throughout.

Once again, success is not measured purely by score as all left the pitch with smiles and congratulations for a clean, well-fought match.
