Child Hit By Car On Main Street Expected To Be Okay

A child was hit by a car in front of the Roudenbush Community Center, but reports indicate that no serious injuries were sustained in the incident.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to Westford Fire Department Deputy Chief Dan Britko, the accident was a very low speed collision, and the unnamed child was taken to Lowell General Hospital for precautionary measures.

FOLLOW UP 12:47 p.m. 5/19 – In a statement from Britko, he indicates that the child was actually examined on site.

The individual transported to Lowell General Hospital was involved in an incident on Russell’s Way, which occurred almost simultaneously with the incident on Main Street.
