Westford Set To Receive Just Under $900,000 in Chapter 90 Funding

Recently, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that it will be providing $200 million in Chapter 90 funding to municipalities across the Commonwealth in Fiscal Year 2017, with $882,428 going to Westford.

The funding, which is awarded each spring, can be used to fund a variety of roadway related projects.

In Fiscal Year 2016, which runs until June 30, Westford received $891,661.

Within the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s Fiscal Year 2017-2021 Draft Capital Investment Plan, Westford received $3,544,332 for intersection and signal improvements at the corner of Littleton and Tadmuck roads, $1,760,000 for intersection improvements at Groton and Dunstable roads and $2,012,351 for intersection improvements at the corner of Groton and Oak Hill roads.
