Last week, the thrift shop at the Cameron Senior Center reopened with a new look.

In addition to new merchandise and new décor, the thrift shop has been renamed “Trudy’s Boutique,” honoring former thrift shop volunteer Trudy Laslie.

Beginning as a volunteer in 2004, Laslie became a driving force within the thrift shop over the years

“She loved to help, she loved to be needed. She was very bubbly,” said Judie Bankowski, Laslie’s daughter. “Mom always had to do something, so it was great, she was so happy after a few times I came up with her.”

Trudy’s Boutique is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and is accessible for those in wheelchairs.

The boutique is also a completely volunteer run shop, with all proceeds going to the Cameron Senior Center.

Donations are always welcome and are tax-deductible. More information is available at 978-692-5523.
