BIRDS: The Epic Adventures of a MA Bird Photographer with Peter Christoph:Thursday, July 7 at 7:00 p.m. Peter Christoph presents a narrated slideshow of his favorite bird photographs all taken right here in Massachusetts where he lives.  His program is both entertaining and informative as he shares stories of his photographic adventures and the techniques he uses to capture his images as welll as his favorite places to take pictures of birds in their natural habitat.  Free.  Drop-in.  Open to all ages.

Gilson Gardening Series: Growing and Using Seasonal Greens: Tuesday, July 12 at 7:00 p.m. Create flavorful and nutritious salads and garnish for your meal from “cut and come again” plantings.  Jodie Gilson from Gilson Greenhouses will show us how and provide samples and recipes.  Register in the Information Services Department, 978-399-2304.  Please consult our Adult Programs Page for a full listing of the Gilson Gardening Series.

Cookbook Book Club: So Easy, by Ellie Krieger:Tuesday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m. PThe cookbook book club meets the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. Copies of the cookbook are available for checkout at the Main Desk.  If you are interested in bringing a dish from the cookbook (this is not required), please contact Sarah Regan at 978-399-2309.  Drop-in.

Create a Sea Shell Wreath: Thursday, July 21 at 7:00 p.m. Crafter Rita Parisi will show us how to craft a beautiful seashell wreath to adorn your door or home.  All supplies will be provided.  Limited to 25 participants.  Registration in the Information Services Department, 978-399-2304.  Ages 14 and up.

NEW!  Knitting Group!: Monday, July 25 at 3:00 p.m. in the Mary-Atwood Hall. Do you enjoy knitting?  Our new informal knitting group will meet the fourth Monday of every month from 3;00 to 5:00 p.m. This is a drop-in program that is open to all ages.  Bring your latest project and share advice and socialize with other knitters!  If you have any questions, please call Kristina Leedberg at 978-399-2309.

Alan Emmet-Author Book Talk and Signing: Thursday, July 29 at 7:00 p.m. Local author, Alan Emmet, will discuss her memoir, Our Side of the River. “Part memoir, part history, this is the story of a twentieth-century family and their summer home in Minnesota.  Drop-in.  Open to all ages.

Adult Coloring Party:  Thursday, July 28 at 7:00 p.m. The adult coloring parties are held once a month on the fourth Thursday of the month. Are you looking for a fun and relaxing way to spend the evening? Explore the latest trends in relaxation; adult coloring books.  Specially designed adult coloring pages and colored pencils will be provided.  Light refreshments will be served at this Friends funded event. Free.  Drop-in.  For ages 18 and up.

NEW!- Weekly English Conversation Circle Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Practice your English conversation skills and meet new friends in a relaxed and friendly environment.This program meets every Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Mary Atwood room.  The group is led by Carol Morse.  Registration is not required for this program.
