“Grab a Glass,” a wine and craft beer tasting will be held Saturday, Oct 22, 7 pm at the Roudenbush Community Center in Westford.  Enjoy tastings and learn about wines and craft beers from local wineries and vendors including Craft Beer Cellar, Merrimack Ales, Aaronap Wines, WineNot Boutique, Lineage Wine Selection, Worldwide Wine of NE, Imported Grapes, LLC, and Latitude Beverage Company.  Experience food from local restaurants, games, drawings, and a great night out!

The cost is $45 per ticket, and the proceeds will benefit the center. Visit www.roudenbush.org to purchase tickets and for more information.

Paint and Sip for Youth: 3:30 to 5:30 pm. September 29.  Children and teens, third grade and older can learn to paint.  All materials are provided.  Parents are welcome to participate with their child.  Cost: $38/$35, additional parent $25.

College Financial Aid 101: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29. This class is intended for parents of high school students and will review financial aid basics, especially the financial aid formula and how different schools determine eligibility. Understanding how it is calculated will help parents maximize the financial aid their child receives. Cost: $24/$21 individual, $29/$26 couple.

Social Puppy 1 Dog Training for Puppies under 16 weeks: 5:10 to 6:10 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 6 to Oct. 26. Build your dog’s overall confidence in the world around them, social skills with dogs and people, and trust in you through positive training games and off-leash play. $93/$90.

Social Puppy 2 Dog Training Puppies 4 to 6 months: 9:10 to 10:10 a.m. Thursdays, Oct. to Nov. 3, Continue to work on skills started in Social Puppy 1 or get started now that puppy has entered early adolescence.  Particular attention will be paid to reading body language, evaluating play, and knowing how and when to interrupt and manage off leash play. $93/$90.

 

Kindermusik Laugh and Learn, 3-4 year olds: 9 to 10 a.m. Thursdays, Oct. 6 to Oct. 29. This class combines the preschooler’s natural love of music, storytelling, and imaginative play. Early music concepts are introduced, and age-appropriate activities will help foster the child’s independence, social and emotional skills, language growth, and self-control. Cost: $78/$75.

Cooking for Super Heroes Ages 4 to 8: 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6. Children can wear their favorite super hero costume to cook and bake everything worthy of a super hero. $5 activity fee payable to instructor at class. Cost: $30/$27.

Blind Tasting of Pinot Noir: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13. Taste 5 of the finest examples of Pinot Noir from small boutique producers with a selection of fine cheeses and chocolate.  Participants will learn to rely on their own senses, experience and preferences to evaluate each wine. $28/$25.

Just Tamera and Me Ages 2.8 to 5 years, drop off class: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 5 to Oct. 26. The class will foster independence in a secure and loving environment before starting preschool or kindergarten with singing, making crafts, reading books and having fun. Two hour or new three hour sessions with “bring own lunch” option. $126/$123, 3 hours, $85/$82, 2 hours.
