The J.V. Fletcher Library in Westford will be holding the following programs this month:
Adult Coloring Party:Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m The adult coloring parties are now held once a month. Explore the latest trend in relaxation;adult coloring books!  Specially designed adult coloring pages and colored pencils will be provided.  Light refreshments will be served at this Friends funded event.  Drop-in.
Cookbook Book Club: Happy Cooking by Giada De Laurentiis, Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. The cookbook book club is dedicated to exploring cookbooks and sampling new recipes.  Copies of Happy Cooking are available for check out at the Main Desk.  If you would like to bring a dish from the cookbook (not required to participate), please contact Sarah Regan in the Information Services Department at 978-399-2309.  The cookbook book club meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month.  No registration required.
The Boys in the Boat: the Rest of the Story: Thursday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown is a New York Times bestseller about the 1936 Olympic crew team from the University of Washington that won the gold medal in Berlin against overwhelming odds.  A central figure in the book is the boatbuilder George Pocock, arguably the single most influential man in crew racing in the last century and revered mentor to thousands of oarsmen and dozens of coaches all throughout this country.  George Pocock’s great-nephew, Jim Pocock, will speak about his personal memories of his great uncle, the development of the sport of rowing in America, and tell many rich stories that are omitted from the book.  Free!  All ages are welcome.  No registration required.
Knitting Group: Monday, Sept. 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. Do you enjoy knitting? Our informal knitting group meets the fourth Monday of every month in the Mary Atwood Hall.  This is a drop-in program that is open to all ages.  Bring your latest project and share advice and socialize with other knitters!
Winterizing Your Garden: Thursday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. Jodie Gilson from Gilson Greenhouses will give us tips and advice for putting our gardens to bed for the winter. Find out the best ways to protect your flower and vegetable gardens during the harsh winter months. Free. No registration
NEW!- Weekly English Conversation Circle Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Practice your English conversation skills and meet new friends in a relaxed and friendly environment.This program meets every Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Mary Atwood Hall.  The group is led by Carol Morse.  Registration is not required for this program.
