Westford girls youth soccer team has win over Waltham

The Westford Girls Third and Fourth Grade team 1 had won against Waltham in the first game of the fall season, Sept. 10. Erin Keefe dominated the middle of the field and there was lots of passing from wings Martha Khusid, Caroline Mallio and Sarah Foley.  Kassidy Carmichael scored the first goal of the half followed by a second goal from Alexa Pantoja.

The scoring continued in the second half with a goal by Sophie Krauss and another goal from Pantoja.  Ella Diruggerio had several shots and supported her team with two assists. The defense was led with strong play by Marie Morris and Ava Russo. Olivia Dempster played goalie in the first half allowing no goals and Audrey Smagula played goalie in the second half, making several saves and allowing only one goal from Waltham on a penalty shot.
