The revitalized Westford Jr. Ghosts D Team Cheer squad advanced from league competition to the Pop Warner Cheer Regional Championship, which will be held in Lowell on Oct. 29.
The D Team competes in the Junior Pee Wee division of children ages 8 to 11 and faced a number of teams from eastern Massachusetts.
The A Team, the Unlimited division consisting of children ages 11 to 15, will participate in its league competition on Oct. 15 in Lawrence.
Both teams are seeking to match the success of the Jr. Ghosts 2014 Pee Wee squad, which earned the title of National Champions in competitions held at the Pop Warner National Cheerleading Championships in Kissimmee, Florida.
