Holiday Cookie Decorating Using Fondant: 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14. If you are interested in learning how to decorate cookies for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday season, then join master decorator Raffaella. Participants will decorate beautiful holiday themed cut out cookies, and dress them up with sugar paste decorations. Participants must bring an apron and a container for cookies. All materials are included. Cost: $68/$65.
Artist Reception for “Still Life’s and Sketchbook” exhibit by Ron Hubbard: 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. The exhibit will be on display at Roudenbush, Nov. 1 to 30.
Kindermusik Wiggle and Grow for Families, newborn to 4 year olds: 10:15 to 11 a.m. Thursdays, Nov. 3 to Dec. 1, excluding 11/24. This music-filled class celebrates the unique joys of your growing child ages. Each week your child will love singing, dancing, and playing instruments with you and her new friends and you’ll love helping her practice a wide variety of abilities such as gross and fine motor skills, turn-taking, social skills, and active listening. Cost: $78/$75.
Nimble and Nifty Over 50: 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Fridays from Nov. 4 to Dec. 23, excluding 11/25. This class is designed for the 55 and over senior looking for an engaging fitness environment. Participants will learn how to build strength, balance, coordination and muscle mass, all in a small group setting. Elastic bands, medicine balls, light dumbbell weights and chairs will be used. All fitness levels are welcome. Cost: $78/$75.
Get Rich Slow, a Retirement Game: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9. In this game, participants will take the part of Sally and Norm as they navigate family, finances and retirement decisions. Originally developed by the Boston College Center for Retirement Research, this game will combine knowledge, skill and some luck to get Sally and Norm to and through a comfortable retirement. Along the way, participants make important financial and life decisions and will be able to see the impact of those decisions. Cost: $24/$21 individual, $29/$26 couple.
Intuition 101: 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3. The class will discuss the connection to brainwaves, the subconscious mind and mindfulness, followed by diving into everyday symbols as tools for feedback and inner guidance. Guided visualizations. Participants need to wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat, eye covering and pen and paper. Cost: $43/$40.
Basic Zumba 1 and 2: 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 3 to Dec. 22, excluding Nov. 24. A mix of Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves crates an amazing fitness program. Zumba promises to burn calories and energize the body. Cost: $93/$90.
Just Tamera and Me Ages 2.8 to 5 years, drop off class: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov 2 to Nov. 30, excluding 11/23. The class will foster independence in a secure and loving environment before starting preschool or kindergarten with singing, making crafts, reading books and having fun. Two hour or new three hour sessions with “bring own lunch” option. $126/$123, 3 hours, $85/$82, 2 hours.
