Opioid Epidemic to be Addressed by Tri-Parish Collaborative

The Tri- Parish Collaborative of St. Mary Magdalen, St. Rita, and Ste. Marguerite D’Youville are presenting Dr. Ruth Potee, a board certified Family Medicine Physician and Addiction Specialist to discuss addiction as a disease, signs of addiction, how addiction occurs, whythe battle with addiction is being lost and how to fight the disease.

Potee is the medical director at the Franklin County House of Correction; a member of the Franklin County and North Quabbin Opioid Task Force; and the newly-named medical director of a future detox center in Greenfield, MA.  She is Board Certified in addiction medicine and one of the most sought after speakers on addictions in New England.

The “Voices of Recovery” community members will share their journeys of recovery followed by a Q & A session with  Potee on:

  • Thursday, December 8, 2016, 7-9pm
  • Lowell Elks Club, 40 Old Ferry Road, Lowell off Varnum Ave or Pawtucket Blvd.
  • Open and free to the public
