Holiday Hours: The Library will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 24 and Monday, Dec. 26. The Library re-opens on Tuesday, Dec. 26 at 10 a.m.

Adult Coloring Party: Thursday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. The adult coloring parties are now held once a month. Explore the latest trend in relaxation – adult coloring books! Specially designed adult coloring pages and colored pencils will be provided.  Light refreshments will be served at this Friends funded event.  Drop in.

Lego Club: Saturday, Dec. 17 from 2 to 3 p.m. Kids ages 5 and up are invited to make Lego creations at the library using the library Legos. Parents and caregivers need to stay and play too. All creations will stay on display in the Children’s Room through the month. Free. No registration required.

Knitting Group: Monday, Dec. 19 at 3 p.m. Do you enjoy knitting?  Our informal knitting group meets the fourth Monday (please note this month’s meeting is the 3rd Monday due to the Christmas holiday) of every month from 3 to 5 p.m. This is a drop-in program that is open to all ages.  Bring your latest knitting project and share advice and socialize with other knitters!  If you have any questions, please call Kristina Leedberg at 978-399-2309.

 Pajama Story Time: Monday, Dec. 19 from 6:30 to 7 p.m. This monthly drop-in evening Story Time is for children ages 3-7. Parents and younger siblings are invited to enjoy the Children’s Room during the program. Registration is not required.

 Monday Mystery Book Club: Monday, Dec. 19 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mary Atwood Hall. During the first half of the meeting we’ll discuss our December title – considered by many to be the most famous Gothic Romance/Mystery of all time – Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. Next we’ll have our first annual Titles Picking Party for the 2017 Mystery Reading List.  Light refreshments will served. Drop in. New members are always welcome.

Cookbook Book Club meets on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. The Cookbook Book Club is dedicated to exploring cookbooks and sampling new recipes.  Copies of this month’s choice, Wintersweet: Seasonal Desserts to Warm the Home, are available for check out at the Main Desk.  If you would like to bring a dish from the cookbook (not required to participate), please contact Sarah Regan in the Information Services Department at 978-399-2309.  The Cookbook Book Club is funded by the Friends of the Library and meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month.  No registration required.
