In Honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day the library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017.  We re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. Please visit us online 24/7 at www.westfordlibrary.org to request and renew materials.

Story Time and Book Club Registration: Monday, Jan. 9 at 6:30 p.m.  For the first time we are having an ONLINE Registration so that families can sign-up from the ease of their homes, businesses or even on their cell phones from anywhere.  Further, this option “evens out the playing field” so that a parent who is home with a baby, or just getting in from work, etc. doesn’t feel stressed about missing out on Storytime or Book Club spots just because they can’t make it in to the Library. Folks are still welcome to come to the Library at 6:30 p.m. to register; we will show you how to register online or do it for you. Registering via the telephone will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m.  Please feel free to call the Children’s Department anytime (978-399-2302) to find out how to register for programs online.

The Cookbook Book Club meets on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. The Cookbook Book Club is dedicated to exploring cookbooks and sampling new recipes.  Copies of this month’s choice, The Healthy Slow Cooker Revolution are available for check out at the Main Desk.  If you would like to bring a dish from the cookbook (not required to participate), please contact Sarah Regan in the Information Services Department at 978-399-2309.  The Cookbook Book Club is funded by the Friends of the Library and meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month.  No registration required.

Adult Coloring Party: Thursday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. On these long and cold days who doesn’t need a warm and welcome place to come and visit with friends? We provide the fun, refreshments and friends. You bring your love for trying something different and new. By popular demand the adult coloring parties are now held once a month. We hope to see you at this drop-in, Friends funded event.

Lego Club: Saturday, Jan. 21 from 2 to 3 p.m. Kids ages 5 and up are invited to make Lego creations at the library using the library Legos. Parents and caregivers need to stay and play too. All creations will stay on display in the Children’s Room through the month. Free. No registration required.

On the Horizon: Beat the Winter Blues and visit us during the Friends of the Library February Book Sale weekend: Friday, Feb. 10, Saturday, Feb. 11 and Sunday, Feb. 12.  We hope to see you there!
