In The Gallery Sundays in Feb. 12 – 2 p.m. George Wisnowski, “The Artist Travels”

The Artist Travels” – oils, watercolors, and acrylics by George Wisnowski is on display. Wisnowski’s vacations present him with the freedom to paint the experiences — texture, foliage, symbols – that he sees.  Wisnowski packs his paints in his luggage, and the first thing he does is explore his next subject. It’s challenging to find the right spot to paint – sheltered, comfortable, and out of the way, but Wisnowski manages, and these paintings are a collection of these perfect spots.  Each one has a story and becomes a postcard of his travels. Meet Wisnowski and find out more at his Art Reception, Sunday, Feb. 5,11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and during Gallery Hours on Sundays in February from noon until 2 p.m.

Terry Eder began her musical studies at the age of four in Detroit where she was born and raised. After attending Oberlin College and Indiana University, she studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. Since then, Eder has become one of the most distinguished interpreters and performers of the music of Bela Bartok. Eder’s recent performances include recitals in Germany, France, China, Singapore and the U.S. In 2015, Eder founded a new concert series in New York City called Key Pianists. In addition to teaching in New York City, Eder holds a Juris Doctorate and practiced law for 13 years simultaneously with her musical career.

Eder’s talk and recital will feature Bartok’s Hungarian Peasant Songs, Bartok’s Improvisations, Opus 20 and Schubert’s Drei Klavierstucke, D. 946. For more information, residents are asked to visit terryeder.com.
