More than 30 voters from the town’s Chinese community met with the three candidates running for the Board of Selectmen in May’s town-wide election. On March 4 Agricultural Commissioner Elizabeth Almeida, School Committee member Tom Clay, and Planning Board Chairman Dennis Galvin greeted residents at the J.V. Fletcher Library. Among the key issues discussed were the controversial asphalt plant proposed for 540 Groton Road, transparency of local government, open communication channels to better connect with the residents, schools and community building, and the character and future of Westford, according to resident Dongchun Wang.
