Students and staff in the Health Assisting program at Nashoba Valley Technical High School recently took residents of the neighboring Bridges by Epoch apple picking at Tougas Family Farm in Northborough.

The students helped the residents pick apples, and they all enjoyed apple cider and apple-cider doughnuts on a perfect autumn day. Bridges by Epoch is an assisted-living facility in Westford whose residents suffer from Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of memory loss.

The Nashoba Tech’s Health Assisting program and Bridges have formed a close partnership, with students visiting the residents frequently and the school hosting the residents for lunch and other activities throughout the school year.
