Here are suggestions for things to do this week around town.

The Adult Book Discussion Group will meet at the J.V. Fletcher Library on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. to review “Love Anthony” by Lisa Genova. Copies of the book are available at the main desk. It’s also time to choose book titles for 2018, so bring readers are asked to bring their recommendations. New members are welcome to drop in. The Karate & Fitness Club is accepting students ages 7 and up for the winter session beginning in January. Classes are held every Thursday night from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Church, 75 Cold Spring Road. The club is a not for profit entity, offering a non contact sport of TKD in a family friendly environment. Parents are welcome to observe how the class is run or to seek additional information by emailing karatefitnessclubinc@gmail.com.

The Festival of Trees, Wreaths and Gingerbread Creations is set up and ready for viewing in the lobby of the Westford Regency from 6 to 8 p.m. through Dec. 17. Visit westford.org/funfest for more information. The Regency is located at 219 Littleton Road.

The United Methodist Church will hold its traditional Live Nativity on December 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. Residents will portray Jesus, Mary and Joseph and church members will serve as wise men, angels and shepherds. Live animals will be part of the scene. Participants will sing Christmas carols. Refreshments will be served.
