Veterans Service Officer Terry Stader has put out an S.O.S for volunteers to help with Memorial Day observances.

Saturday, May 19 – Volunteers are needed to place flags on the graves of veterans beginning at 8 a.m. at St. Catherine of Alexandria Cemetery and ending at Fairview Cemetery. To volunteer, contact Terry Stader at tstader@westfordma.gov.

Saturday, May 26 – A memorial service will be held at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church at 4 p.m.

Sunday, May 27 – Honor Roll Reading begins at 10:45 a.m. at the town Common. To volunteer, contact Nicole Pelletier at pelletier.ns@gmail.com.

Sunday, May 27 – War Memorials Remembrances will be held:

  • Villages Schedule: Forge Pond, (Pond Street at Freedom Park), 9 a.m.
    Forge Village Honor Roll (West Prescott Street), 9:15 a.m.
  • Graniteville Monument (North Main Street), American Legion Post 159. 9:45 a.m.
  • Nabnassett Lake – (Byrne Avenue Dam) Oak Hill Road/Jo-Jo Lane. 10:45 a.m.
  • Westford Town Common, Reading of Honor Roll, 10:45 a.m.
  • Parade – Meet at Frost School and march to Westford Center, 12 p.m./Noon -Memorial Salutes, Westford Center at the town Common.

Memorial Day service to commence immediately following Main Street parade
