The 9-11 observance will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 11 in the Public Safety Courtyard next to Town Hall, 55 Main St. The public is welcome. Below is a schedule of events. (Video by Patty Stocker)

9:55 A.M. – Fire apparatus roll out of bays to appropriate location in front of station.

Honor Guards, any available public safety personnel and guests assemble at 9-11 Memorial in Public Safety Courtyard and maintain silence.

10:00 A.M. MC: Announce “Honor Guards attention.”

MC: Firefighter David Christiana will sound the alarm bell, the Last Call.

Ring Bell 5 – 5 – 5 – 5 (4 sets of 5 chimes each) (Westford Fallen Firefighters Monument, 1 Firefighter).

Flag should already be at half-staff.

MC: “Will everyone please join me in a moment of silence” 1 minute of silence.

Firefighters’ Prayer. (Deputy Fire Chief Dan Britko?) Police Officer’s Prayer. (Police Chief Tom McEnaney?).

MC: “Nancy Cook will now read the poem “ONE” by Cheryl Sawyer, “In memory of all who perished on that fateful day.”

Place 2 wreaths at the 9-11 Memorial (Westford Police & Fire).

MC: Introduce speakers for Parting Words (Jim Arciero & Scott Hazleton).

MC: Firefighter David Christiana will sound the alarm bell, the Last Call.

Ring Bell 5 – 5 – 5 – 5 (1 Firefighter, Fire Monument).

MC: This completes this morning’s service. Thank you for attending.
