Sunday Hours resume on Sunday, Jan. 6 through Sunday, April 28. On Sundays the library is open from 2 to 5 p.m.

Lego® Club: Saturday, Jan. 5 from 2 to 3 p.m.  Come create something fun with Library Legos®. All creations will be displayed in the library until the next time we meet. Free drop-in for ages 5 and up with parent or caregiver.

 Adult Nonfiction Book Club: Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. Is truth stranger than fiction? Is it more entertaining? Readers will find out in the Adult Nonfiction Book Club. The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Mary Atwood Room. Dates and book titles can be found on the website and at the Information Desk. The Jan. 8 book discussion will be The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester. Copies are available at Main Desk. Patrons need not register.

Student Tuition Payment Plan: Thursday, Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m. This class will review different options for paying the college bill, ranging from loans to payment plans to other strategies of which you may not have thought. Financial coach T. Jack Wang will review the pros and cons of each option so attendees can decide for their families which is best. This program is intended for parents of high school seniors, ages 14 and up. Admission is free. Patrons are asked to register online or call Information Services at 978-399-2304.

J.V. Fletcher Adult Book Club: Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Readers will discuss Crash Override by Zoe Quinn. Copies of the current reading selection are available for check-out at the Main Desk. New members are always welcome. Patrons are welcome to drop in and no registration is required.

Story Time and Book Club Online Registration: Monday, Jan. 14 at 6:30 p.m. Online Registration for these popular programs starts Monday at 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. (978-399-2302) patrons are welcome to register by telephone. Book clubs are for grades kindergarten through 5 and meet once a month from 4 to 4:45 p.m. The Mini Masters Art Book Club is for children in grades 3, 4, and 5 and meets one Thursday afternoon a month. The new Non-Fiction Book Club is for kids in grades 3 and 4 and meets once a month on Monday afternoon.

Knitting Group: Monday, Jan. 14 at 3 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m. The informal knitting group meets in the Mary Atwood Room on the second Monday of every month from 3 to 5 p.m. AND the fourth Monday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This is a drop-in program that is open to all ages. Knitters can bring their latest project and share advice and socialize with other knitters. Those with questions are asked to call Sarah Regan at 978-399-2309.

Cookbook Club: Thursday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. The Cookbook Club is dedicated to exploring cookbooks and sampling new recipes. It meets on the third Thursday of the month. The January pick is Indian Cooking Unfolded by Raghavan Iyer. Copies are available for check out at the Main Desk. Those who would like to bring a dish from the cookbook (not required to participate), are asked to contact Sarah Regan in Information Services at 978-399-2309. Patrons need not register.
