State Representative James Arciero recently welcomed Kevin Morrissey and Michelle Silveira of the Greater Lowell YMCA to the State House for their annual advocacy day on Beacon Hill.

The state-wide event, hosted by the Alliance of Massachusetts YMCAs, was held to seek financial support for YMCAs across the state to assist them in the services they provide to people.

In addition, they are supporting several legislative bills to assist their organizations, and are seeking to add the option of donating to their  group on Massachusetts state tax return forms.

The funding priorities of the Alliance  of MA YMCAs are youth at risk, salary support for early and school educators, after school program support, and educational assistance for youth who live in temporary housing.
