The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) announced today that Merrimack Repertory Theatre received 15 theatre award nominations, including two “Best Play” nods for Lost Laughs: The Slapstick Tragedy of Fatty Arbuckle and Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley. Individual nominees include MRT Artistic Director Sean Daniels, director Nathan Keepers, and actors Vichet Chum, Veronica Duerr, Amanda Collins, Aaron Muñoz, and the full cast of Miss Bennet.
MRT competes in the “large theatre” category with primarily Boston theatres, including The Huntington and American Repertory Theatre. The awards will be presented at the 22nd Annual IRNE Awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. on April 8 at The Inn at Brookline off Kenmore Square.
