On behalf of Roudenbush Community Center, many of us in the Westford community would like to say thank you to Comcast NBCUniversal for participation in the annual Town-wide Clean-Up day.

On May 4, volunteers from Roudenbush joined forces with Comcast NBCUniversal employees and their families and friends to make change happen, building a vegetable garden for our students as well as spreading mulch and planting flowers.  The event was part of Comcast Cares Day – the company’s celebration of its year-round commitment to volunteerism and service. This year, Comcast marks its 18th Comcast Cares Day. More than 1 million volunteers have contributed over 6 million service hours to improve nearly 10,000 projects in the U.S. and around the world since Comcast Cares Day started in 2001.

The Roudenbush Community Center and Comcast share a common goal – a commitment to making a lasting impact on the Westford community. This ongoing relationship is an excellent example of how public-private partnerships can make a positive difference in our communities. Thanks to Comcast NBCUniversal’s continued support, we have been able to sustain our mission of offering opportunities through learning, childcare, special events and the arts.

Together, we will continue to strengthen our community. — Michelle Sullivan, Executive Director, Roudenbush Community Center
