Eleven-year-old Lilly is a long haired cat featured earlier this year on Adoptable Pet. But because she needs to be the only pet in the home and her potential owners will require a veterinarian reference, this girl has remained at the shelter since March waiting to find the right family to fit her needs. Described by Lowell Humane Society’s Adoption Counselor, Erin Milligan, as loving attention and loving to be pet, “she does get nervous around other animals, so she’s going to ask to be the only pet in the home,” said Milligan. “Quieter, older, cat savvy kids she’ll probably do fine with.”
Lilly was declawed by her previous owners which has caused some sensitivity in her paws, so she will need to use soft, pine, cat litter in her new home.
Lilly is available now for adoption at the Lowell Humane Society.
